  • Living Waters

I will come to you parched and dry

I will come to you parched and dry

    My mouth open wide

Desperate and sucking on my last straws

    For any tinge of moisture

Are you my oasis or just a mirage?

    This is my last crawl

    A lie would kill me

It would doom me to dust

    Devastated dust

But I’ve touched your robe before

They told me what you do

    My blood thickens and crawls

    Through my veins

    Like multitudes of homeless beggars

    Dragging their brokenness through me

    Desperate and weary

    Like me

    Looking for a real reprieve

A drink to heal their cracked insides

A place where it is safe

    To close their watchful eyes

    Let me drink of you

    My Jesus Christ

    Immerse me and baptize me

Pour into my soul open wide

    The living waters

    Of precious life.

@my_fotos - Thank you so much. I always get so nervous about sharing my work, so it's nice to know someone likes it.
    @inhisimage - My pleasure entirely.

    feeling...

One thing I do when I am missing my
brother is ask myself what he would be doing if he were here, and then
I go do it.  That way I feel connected to him, I feel I bring honor to
his life and it makes me miss him in a good way, a healthy way and put
a positive spin on losing him.  I am sure that your Grandmother is
still loving you from heaven.... I don't think that love ever dies.

Thank  you for sharing, I am glad that you enjoyed my blog.
