This Christmas... what are you getting your loved ones? Why not give something truly special and impactful this year, in celebration of our Saviour King and the blessings He has poured out on us?
I just saw a Youtube video on the Advent Conspiracy posted by mama_sez on her Revelife, and it has stopped my confusion and aimless Christmas shopping. I haven't got much to spend this Christmas, but what I do have, I'm gonna use it to bless those in dire need.
So gift no. 1 is..... *drum roll* clean water for a Third World village from Oxfam. For my lovely friend M. (You get a card from Oxfam when you donate towards such causes, so that you can give the card to someone and let them know what you have given in their name.) M is a generous loving fella, so I think he's gonna love this gift.
What about you? Perhaps a donation to World Vision/Compassion/Voices of the Martyrs, or a care package for the homeless this Christmas?
After all, this is the season of giving, isn't it?

I'm writing personal notes to family this year (no kids to buy for, so it works out), letting them know how much they mean to me, and that I want to spend time with them to get to know them deeper.

@heyyoulady - That is so lovely. Personally, I would be so much more touched and pleased to receive a note like that than an expensive pressie I have no real need for.
